Mentoring Learning Community Focus Group
Strategic Partners would like to invite you to participate in a new Focus Group for the purpose of structuring the 2011-2012 Mentoring Learning Community which discusses best practices related to invigorating, designing, and managing successful mentoring programs.
Invitation to 2011 Mentoring Learning Community Focus Group
As you know, Strategic Partners has sponsored a Mentoring Learning Community (MLC) in the past. Clients have expressed an interest in participating in the MLC in 2011, but wanted to provide a focus and/or framework of the structure for the series. We are hosting a Focus Group on February 23rd to help ensure that the 2011 Mentoring Learning Community will meet your organization’s specific needs and that it addresses challenges that are most important to you. During the focus group, some of the subjects we’re interested to hear from you include:
• The topics for sessions
• The number of times we meet during the year
• The venue for these meetings
• Whether in person and/or webcasts
• The number of members
• The investment for becoming a member
We began the Mentoring Learning Community in response to our clients needs and have been successful in bringing together participants from a variety of organizations with the same objectives. These objectives include:
• Provide a forum for best practices
• Sustain and invigorate existing mentoring programs
• Virtual mentoring – challenges and solutions
• Cross generational mentoring
• Diversity implications of mentoring efforts
• Effective strategic communication strategies
• Innovative training for mentors and mentees
• Group mentoring as a viable mentoring option
• Assess return on investment of mentoring efforts
The agenda for the Mentoring Learning Community Focus Group will include:
• Present overview of the Mentoring Learning Community
• Feedback from you
• Top issues you’re most interested to learn more about
• Present options for conducting sessions
• Input from participants to shape 2011 Mentoring Learning Community
• Wrap-up and next steps
Mentoring Learning Community Focus Group Details:
There is no cost or obligation to be a part of the Mentoring Learning Community Focus Group. At the end of the session, we’ll make a determination as to the level of interest and framework for the Mentoring Learning Community for 2011 and outline next steps.
