Need some mid-week inspiration? I thought this was pretty cool and wanted to share. Every year Deloitte teams celebrates IMPACT Day, an annual day-long event during which Deloitte employees around the country set aside their work and contribute their time and talents to benefit local nonprofits.
Each volunteer project is organized by local Deloitte personnel and is designed to meet the needs of the nonprofits all over the country.
Last week, Deloitte employees from around the DC area teamed up with Dreams For Kids to spend a day improving the Therapeutic Recreation Center in downtown DC. The center is a place where special needs children can come and receive the care and love they so deserve. School is out and hundreds of children will be coming to the Therapeutic Recreation Center for camps and other fun activities.
Last Friday, about 50 Deloitte employees took the day off to come out and improve the aesthetics of the center’s campus. They planted flowers, painted benches, and made the center come alive and gear up for a summer of fun.
