Starting a business? SBA has an ‘app’ for that.

The US Small Business Administration (SBA) launched its first mobile application (app) immediately following National Small Business Week 2011. The app was developed under a public-private partnership with Palo Alto Software and is currently available for iPhone/iPod/iPad with additional platforms to be added soon.

This new tool connects entrepreneurs with 3,000+ business coaching centers, 14,000+ mentors, SBA training videos and Twitter streams. The app also offers a startup cost calculator to get these mobile overacheivers on the way to starting their own firm.

Try the app and let us know what you think.

SBA is already planning for future enhancements in the mobile space, cross platform efforts and additional work in Gov2.0, OpenGov, Challenges, and Transparency related projects.
